NOTICE: There have been some changes in my personal life, Welcome Dominic Joseph!!! Born Jan 15, 2009.
I'm excited, but it means that I haven't had as much time to keep up the organization of these pages. As time permits, I'll TRY to clean them up, but I make no promises that things will get to where I really want them.
Since the birth of my son (posted above), a lot has gone on in my life. There was the unexpected death of my older brother, buying/moving into a house, getting married, my dad's fight with cancer (that he then lost), leaving one global big name company after 20yrs to go work for another global big name company, buying another house and moving again, and my mom moving in with us. The past 5 years have been way too busy for me to have time to keep up with the web pages and even forums, despite Mobility & Mobile Devices being my day job.
As I get new phones, I'll do my best to take time and add at least some BASIC information.
NOTE: please be sure to READ
all the text, including any FINE PRINT. Most problems people
have with these pages can be attributed to "SKIMMING" rather than READING!
For more phone model specific info, please
use the links on the left prior to consulting the HOW TO's page.
update this page and add new info when time permits... I do not always
update the "News" page with a complete list of changes, corrections,
etc. unless its MAJOR.
Creating, maintaining these pages, and posting in the
various forums is done in my spare time as a HOBBY!! its not my job, I do it for fun.
These pages started as a collection of information pertaining to the Verizon Moto V710 phone. Over time, and as I got more phones, it has expanded to include info on other models. Unfortunately, much of it happened so fast, that the organization of the info hasn't been kept up as well, but you can always use the "Search Site" tab in the upper right.
While some of the Moto information may apply to phones from other carriers, I only have Verizon, so I can't say for sure what will work for other providers. That being said... If
you phone is not from Verizon, use this information at your own risk.
All info provided here is stuff I have learned. Most
of the motorola information comes from the work of superdavex, V710 FAQ thread, V710.ORG, nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710info.html, motov710.blogspot.com, inetron.com, and the other (too many to
mention them all) great members of Howardforums.com, as well as what I have found working on my own.
