Flash LG Firmware
Good guides have already been written, so rather than re-write something from scratch which might not be as good... I'm just going to quote Humpa....
(it was posted in an LG Chocolate VX8500 thread, so I removed one mention of a VX8500 specific DLL version number)

That is the best flashing guide - just follow Part 1 and don't worry about part 2 where it mentions needing to fill in the "SCR File Path:", "PRL File Path:", or "ERI File Path:"
And for installing the DLL, use this guide:

And for the latest DLL, go to my humpa.com/vzw page as always (the higher the number, the newer the DLL).....
It is much harder to read thru and learn everything, and acquire the software and get it working, than it is to actually perform the operations when you are finally ready.
