Popular Seem Edits for the V710, E815, V3C and V3M....

While each phone may have similar numbered seems (example 2742), the same offset/bit combo may not work consistently across all phones which have that seem.   This means that a particular seem/offset/bit combo may work on one phone, but not another.  This inconsistency is also found across different firmware levels of the same phone.

This list represents a collection of seem edits that work on the various phones, but again, you might find some that work on one model phone with a specific firmware, but not work on another, or a different firmware level.   Phones using the Verizon UI also bring additional complications into the mix.

Seem edits can be dangerous, and can render your phone inoperable, so proceed with caution and always keep a backup of your un-edited seems!!

Every seem edit requires you to know the appropriate Seem number, Bytes (h), Record number,  Offset and Bit to change.  The following will give you that information....

UPDATE: For Bytes (h) value... Entering 0000  as the Bytes (h) value causes P2KSeem for V710 to load the entire seem file (all offsets)  from the phone.  In the past, we'd enter a number (in hex) such as 7A or 90, which tells P2KSeem for V710 to load only that range or only a subset/section of offset data. 

NOTE: Some of these might already be set as default...

To use these in the Seem Edit Process...  Use  Record 1,  Bytes (h) 0000
For the V710 Seem is 041A  For the E815/V3C/V3M Seem is 2742
Note: Using an improper byte (h) value or Seem number will result in the inability to load the seem file from the phone. Saving to Phone with improper Seem number and Bytes (h) could possibly completely mess up your phone!!

NOTE: while "Checking the Box" or "turning ON" the bit usually enables, there are a few cases in which "UNCHECKING the Box" or "Turning OFF" the bit enables the feature!!! So pay attention!  Make sure you have the latest P2KSeem4V710 so you can see the descriptions/values while editing!!

Offset 6A Bit 0 - Bluetooth Or USB file transfer in MPT (plus E815 OBEX) - check to enable.
Offset 62 Bit 5 - Enable editing of PIX servers - check to enable. (For details see... PHP Pix Place Server available!) Note: this does not work on the Verizon V3C/V3M firmware.
Offset 75 Bit 5 - Transflash Copy/Move Option - check to enable
Offset 1D Bit 3 - Motorola Startup Animation - check to enable, uncheck for "logo only"
Offset 23 Bit 5 - Roaming Call Guard(Settings > In Call Setup > Call Guard) - Check to enable.
Offset 29 Bit 1 - Menu Items: Settings > Security > Lock Keypad - check to enable (to use on V710/E815 press [menu] *, on V3C press [CLR] *)
Offset 31 Bit 0 - Motorola Shutdown Animation - check to enable.
Offset 06 Bit 1 - Ringtone: Siren - check to enable
Offset 38 Bit 1 - Ringtone: Continental - check to enable
Offset 38 Bit 2 - Ringtone: Classic - check to enable
Offset 38 Bit 3 - Ringtone: Attention - check to enable
Offset 3B Bit 0 - Ringtone: Moonlit Haze - check to enable
Offset 4B Bit 0 - GPS icon indicator - Check for CrossHair, Uncheck for Satelite
Offset 5A Bit 7 - File Access in QPST - Check to Unlock,  Uncheck Lock
Offset 5e Bit 6 - Menu Items: Picture Setup > Shutter Tone > None as Choice - Check to allow NONE, uncheck to not
Offset 5F Bit 7 - Menu Items: Video Setup > Video Quality - Check to have choice, uncheck to Not.. NOTE: this setting has no use, as the video quality defaults set to HIGH.
Offset 74 Bit 7 - Digital Indicator (1X or D) - Check for 1X, Uncheck for D
Offset 75 Bit 4 - Apply As Ring Tone Menu Option - Check to Disabled, uncheck to Enabled
 

Phone ID String Edit for using Verizon phones with MPT... Thanks to  Raalph253 and the New Seem found thread....  Doing this seem edit adds the missing "M" to the Identification string in the phone.  Once completed, MPT's "auto-detection" of the phone will identify it as V710M, E815M, V3cM or V3mM and MPT will be configured accordingly (i.e. show the Multimedia Studio Icon).  Note: if you do not wish to perform this seem edit, you can manually cofigure MPT for your phone, or Edit the Detect.inf as outlined HERE 
NOTE: the Offset 6A Bit 0 seem edit listed above is still required to make the MultiMedia Studio feature of MPT actually work!!!

For the E815 this would be Seem 2827, Record 1, Bytes (h) 22,  Offset 0008, "check the boxes" for bits 0-2-3-6 and "uncheck the boxes" for  Bits 1-4-5-7.  PRE-EDITED SEEM for E815m -> 2827_0001-E815m.seem
For the V710 this would be Seem 04FF, Record 1, Bytes (h) 22, Offset 0008, "check the boxes" for bits 0-2-3-6 and "uncheck the boxes" for  Bits 1-4-5-7.
For the V3C (with .02 or .03 firmware) this would be Seem 2827, Record 1, Bytes (h) 22,  Offset 0006, "check the boxes" for bits 0-2-3-6 and "uncheck the boxes" for  Bits 1-4-5-7. PRE-EDITED SEEM for V3Cm -> 2827_0001-V3Cm.seem
For the V3C (with .04 firmware), the ID STRING Changed from just "V3C" to "V3C REV2"... which impacts MPT's phone ID check... So just Adding the Missing M is not enough, you must also remove the REV2... More notes and an example to help explain to be added later...  PRE-EDITED SEEM for V3Cm -> 2827_0001-V3Cm.seem
For the V3M this would be Seem 2827, Record 1, Bytes (h) 22,  Offset 0006, "check the boxes" for bits 0-2-3-6 and "uncheck the boxes" for  Bits 1-4-5-7.  PRE-EDITED SEEM for V3Mm -> 2827_0001-V3Mm.seem
For the Krzr K1M this would be Seem 2827, Record 1, Bytes (h) 22,  Offset 0006, "check the boxes" for bits 0-2-3-6 and "uncheck the boxes" for  Bits 1-4-5-7.  PRE-EDITED SEEM for K1Mm -> 2827_0001-K1Mm.seem

Editing the Banner Seems... process for removing or changing the "Verizon Wireless" words from the inside and outside LCD.

Offset 7B Bit 3 - Vibrate THEN Ring part1 - Uncheck to enable
Offset 7B Bit 4 - Vibrate THEN Ring part2 -  Check to enable
       With Bit 3 & 4 set this way, you will have Vibrate THEN Ring available as a ring style
Offset 7B Bit 2 - Moto UI Style Ring Control Part 1 - Uncheck to enable
Offset 7B Bit 7 - Moto UI Style Ring Control Part 2 - Check to enable
       With Bit 2 & 7 set this way, you will have volume 1-7 like the normal Moto UI instead of Low thru High
Offset 94 Bit 7 - VZW V3C .04 outside LCD - Check to be ORANGE, Uncheck for Graphic

V710 Specific... (Not tested on V3C or E815) These use Seem 041A, Record 1, Bytes (h) 0000

Offset 64 Bit 5 - Remove the RE: & FW: from text messages being sent part1 - Uncheck

Seem 2786 0001 bytes E : 6 digit Master Security Lock (MSL)
Seem 0055 0001 bytes E : 6 digit Service Programming Code (SPC)

UNTESTED 2742 Seem edits (I have NOT personally tested these yet, but I believe they will work on the E815 and Alltel V3C... They may or MAY NOT work on the Verizon V3C/V3M firmware!!)

Offset 8D Bit 6 - Menu Item: Time & Date Menu - Check to enable
Offset 16 Bit 6 - Menu Item: Loud Detail > Roam Calls - Check to enable
Offset 3D Bit 1 - Menu Item: Enable Text Message Delivery Notification- check to enable
Offset 49 Bit 5 - Set Delivery Report Default for new messages - Check =Yes, Uncheck = NO
Offset 7D Bit 5 - Changes backlight times to 20, 40, 60, seconds and Continuous =ON
Offset 33 Bit 6 - Menu Item: Backlight Color Option: Red, Green, Orange - Check to enable         NOTE: the phone only has a WHITE backlight, so while the menu option shows, it has no effect.
Offset 40 Bit 6 - Enables Alltel firmware to keep 100+ texts - Check enables.
Offset 27 Bit 0 - Outer LCD Text (Bit ON) / Graphics (Bit OFF)

I have also compiled a list of addtional seem edits posted by various users in various thread... SEEM1.TXT they may or may not work on all phones. I eventually hope to add them to this to this page... but until I do, at least you have this text file too...
