So, what Bluetooth profiles are supported on my Phone??

NOTE: if a particular bluetooth profiles is not listed under a phone, then it is NOT supported on that phone, hack or no hack!

NOTE: Some of the phones do not support A2DP or Advanced Audio profiles, on those phones listening to MP3's via Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth headphones is NOT possible.

Verizon V710, V3M (NEWC_01.05.0A), and V3C(with Vzw's 1.0F.03 firmware, or Flashed by Verizon Store to 1.15.04)...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported out of the box...

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking

The following can be used AFTER "hacking" or Seem Edit to your phone...

  1. File Transfer while using Motorola Phone Tools (additional configuration is needed to MPT)...

Verizon  V3C(with Verizon's 1.0F.02 firmware or flashed at home with the LEAKED 1.15.04)...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"...

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. File Transfer while using Motorola Phone Tools (additional configuration is needed to MPT)...
  4. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers

Verizon V3C(with Verizon's 1.18.02) or Verizon V3M(with Verizon's 01.09.02)

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported out of the box...

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts ONLY

  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to User Generated Content Only (MY_PIX, MY_SOUNDS, but not ring tones/music)2
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support
  7. File Transfer while using Motorola Phone Tools (additional configuration IS needed to MPT)
  8. Bluetooth Printing

1We have been unable to verify this profile is available when discovering services from a PC.
2there are ways around this limit for ring tones. Write up coming soon. For now see Item #2 on the Maxx Ve page.

Verizon Moto Razr2 V9M...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile1
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts and User/Phone Generated Content ONLY (pix and videos, not ring tones)
  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to User/Phone Generated Content Only (MY_PIX, MY_SOUNDS, but not ring tones/music)2
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support
  7. File Transfer while using Motorola Phone Tools (additional configuration IS needed to MPT)

Verizon Moto W755...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to Non-Protected Content3
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support2
  7. Bluetooth Imaging Profile.

1I have verified this profile by using QPST via Bluetooth Serial Port.
2I have not had a chance to use Stereo Bluetooth head phones and verify this.
3Non-Protected content appears to mean pictures, sounds, videos the USER adds VIA BLUETOOTH. Pix or videos taken via camera do not show when browsing these folders, but files added from PC using BT OBEX FTP do show.

 

Verizon  V3C, V3M, or K1M flashed with ALLTEL FIRMWARE...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from the pc as "BT Diag")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts ONLY
  5. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support

LG VX-9900 aka enV...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from the pc as "BT Diag")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts
  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to User Generated Content Only (MY_PIX, MY_SOUNDS, MY_VIDEO but not ring tones/music)
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support
  7. Basic Bluetooth Printing, print JPG files to a bluetooth printer.

LG Voyager aka VX-10000...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from the pc as "BT Diag")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts and Calendar items
  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to User Generated Content Only (MY_PIX, MY_SOUNDS, MY_VIDEO but not ring tones/music)
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support
  7. Basic Bluetooth Printing, print JPG files to a bluetooth printer.

LG Dare aka VX9700...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset (seen from the pc as "HSP Service")
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from the pc as "Serial Port")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts, Calendar items, Pictures, Sounds, but Not Video, Music or Ring tones
  5. Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers limited to "User Generated Content" Only (MY_PIX, MY_SOUNDS, MY_VIDEO, My_Music, but not ring tones)
  6. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support
  7. Basic Bluetooth Printing, print JPG files to a bluetooth printer.

Samsung u740...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from pc as "Phone Book Sync")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts ONLY

Samsung u620...

The following Bluetooth Profiles are supported "out of the box"....

  1. Hands Free/Headset
  2. Dial-Up Networking
  3. Serial Port Profile (seen from pc as "Phone Book Sync")
  4. Bluetooth Object Push (aka OPP) for vCard/Contacts and User Generated Content ONLY (pix and sounds, not ring tones)
  5. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), provides Stereo audio support

NOTE: Samsung U620 users may need to go into Menu -> Settings & Tools -> Phone Settings -> PC Connection... and change it from USB to Bluetooth in order for the PC to see all available profiles.  I've also noticed this setting sometimes resets itself back to USB.

Motorola Q9m..

The following Bluetooth Services are discovered by my PC "out of the box"...

  1. Audio Gateway
  2. DUN
  3. BT Serial Port
  4. Network Access
  5. OBEX Object Push
  6. Pim Synchronization
  7. OBEX File Transfer

Note: Going into OBEX FTP it sees the following folders... My Pictures, My Ringtones, and Templates. PLUS some RockOn.WMV file right there with those 3 folders.
